Heat Pump Water Heater
In the United States, conventional water heaters use 18 percent of the total energy used in homes. According to experts, a heat pump water heater uses 63% less energy than a traditional water heater. This means that the average family of four can save about $330 per year on energy costs.
Unlike gas heaters, swimming pool heat pumps do not produce heat themselves. Heat pumps work by extracting heat from the air, compressing it, and circulating the pool water through the heated air. The higher the outdoor temperature, the more efficiently the heat pump works and the less energy it consumes.
